Plan for off-grid now
With no grid, solar does all the work. So:
- More panels to refill the battery even on cloudy days
- More battery for the night
- A small generator as backup for long rainy spells (optional)
Buy a hybrid inverter
A hybrid inverter works off-grid today. When PHED or BEDC finally connects, it uses the grid too. You do not replace anything.
